February is always such an exciting time in the garden, with many of the bulbs coming into flower. It has also been an exciting time for me as I managed to plant up a pot (right) for the front steps. Primula wanda and Iris "George" make a lovely partnership. Elsewhere (below left) the white flowers of Clematis armanii are clothing the trellis behind the ducks' rill and several evergreens, including the sarcococca we bought in honour of our friend Joe when he died five years ago, are flowering well too. The hellebores continue to put on their show and, by the end of the month, have been joined by pale daffodil "Jenny". |
