Foliage,
which has of course existed quietly in the background all year, starts to
become increasingly important as the winter months take hold. The myrtle
and euonymus (pictured below) are particular favourites.
Bonfire Night
was celebrated with family and friends and provided an excellent excuse to
burn the debris left by the former tenants of the allotment we have taken
over. The plot, just to the rear of our garden boundary, already boasts a
set of compost bins, and several prepared vegetable beds planted with
garlic, onions and broad beans...thanks to the hard work of David and Mum.
