Thank you for the wonderful info. I will refer back to your website. My Pekin duck has been sitting for 28 days tomorrow so we will see what we get. First for both me and her. Her sister has been coming in at night and laying also so some will be newer eggs then when she first started sitting. I'm a little confused what to do with those and if I should just pull all eggs after 24-48 hrs of first hatching so mom will leave nest or what. If you have any advice on that, please let me know. I don't have an incubator but a friend has one. Thanks again for the info. Sharon

We are looking after 9 duck eggs since the mother abandoned them. I have been reading on your website and found a lot of useful info. Although I don't really want to look after the ducks indoors for to long as we really don't have the space, (Small bungalow)and there were 9 eggs! Is this a lot or a normal amount. I heard some movement and can hear the odd squeak so maybe in a day or 2 I might see something. Anyone with any more advice on when I can put them outside etc would be great. Many thanks. Rachel.

Hi, what a brilliant site, I have just achieved a life long dream in 2 Aylesbury day old ducklings, they are now a week old and I have spent hours and hours watching them! I have found your site invaluable for information and advice and my son has M E as well. I will definitely be visiting again and again! Well done and thank you

A student found a duckling and was unsure what to do with it, as the mother could not be found and its siblings were dead. I suggested that they raise it, long story short, I am now surrogate mom to a duckling. Your info is very helpful. thank you.

Thank you for your advice which i have felt invaluable bringing up my first two ducklings...Bandit and Harley! I am having immense trouble identifiying which sort of ducks i have though, they both look totally different even though the breeder (ahem) said they were both Aylesbury. Harley looks like he will be but Bandit is splodgy black n white and smaller than his so called bro/sis...any ideas? xx

We are hatching an egg from a mother who abandoned it in our yard. This morning it made a little crack in the egg from inside. We are really nervous about whether to help it or not. We hear it chirping from the inside. It is really neat. Your website was helpful. Thank you.
