Sheldon's Diary

Week 20

Sunday 28th September

Our lives have settled into a routine now. We start quacking at about 8 a.m. every morning and Caroline lets us out. Next, we rush about like mad things quacking some more  and then usually have a swim before diving into our duck pellet breakfast.

The rest of the day is spent in a never ending cycle of slug hunting, sleeping, splashing about in the ponds and running about after each other.

Caroline often visits us once or twice during the day and I always have at least one cuddle with her. I like to sit in her hand and make little contented quacking noises.  If she sits on the ground, we scramble over her legs and peck at her clothes and shoes.

I am four and a half months old. The others hatched five weeks after me, but we all have our full adult colours and the boys look particularly smart with their green heads and curly tails.

I have had almost seventy real visitors now and many more online.
